Hi Lynne! I just now saw this comment!
If you read any book from this list right now, first read The Glass Castle. And after that, read Unaccustomed Earth. They’re such beautiful works.

    Hey Gina!

Just a quick note from VT…I wanted to let you know that I selected one of your “desert island” picks from your book list for my book club pick recently. I can’t thank you enough. I had never heard of this book, but something drew me to it. At first people were mad at me…as it is quite disturbing. Upon finishing it, however, we all shared a certain awe of Jeanette’s loyalty and unconditional love. I was able to speak fairly publicly for the first time about some of my very private childhood moments. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks. I’ll be looking to your list again. Hope all is well. Although I don’t comment often, I follow your mom’s progress and learn about you, through her blog. You are a special mother/daughter team!

Yay! Found your new blog! Saw a book on the list by Dave Eggers. Another recommendation by him (if you’ve already read it, forgive me) – A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. Great book. Hope to see you soon!
